Learn How Witnessed Works
You can share Witnessed photos just like any other photo on your phone. Each image includes a built-in QR code that others can scan to verify it.
If you want to share a clickable link, just use the "Share/Copy Link" option in the Witnessed app and paste it into your post or comments.
If you delete a photo in Witnessed, it will also delete the linked verification data. That means the QR code and shareable link will no longer work.
If you want to keep the photo but remove the verification info, download it to your phone first before deleting it from the app.
Yes. You can adjust what information (like location or time) is included with your photos in Settings under your profile. Just make sure to set this before taking the photo.
Keep in mind: sharing more details often helps others trust your photo even more.
With Witnessed, you can quickly check a photo’s authenticity by scanning the QR code or clicking the shareable link. Ask yourself:
Does the location match the story?
Does the username look real?
Do the date and time make sense?
For example, if it's a delivery photo, does the timestamp match when your order was expected?
AI can now create new, realistic images that don’t show up in reverse image searches.
